Engine oil is sent off for recycling a lot now so the engine oil you buy in the stores might be recycled engine oil that goes through a process of cleaning the oil and restoring it to new engine oil that will work just as good as oil that has never been used before.

There's nothing wrong with using recycled engine oil in your vehicle as long as it has been recycled properly and returned to good oil.

I'm not sure if it's still true but a few years ago when I asked a Walmart Employee at the Shop part of Walmart they said that the oil they used for oil changes was indeed recycled oil.

It's oil that has been sent off for recycling and then they buy the recycled oil at cheaper rates so that they can give you the savings when you have your oil changed.

Some other oil change places and automotive shops said they use fresh oil that has not been recycled.

But then again the oil could still be recycled oil because there's a lot of oil being recycled now.

I've used recycled oil in my vehicles and never had a problem with it so using recycled oil in your vehicle is not bad.
