Newborn babies go through between 12 to 14 diapers per day because the newborn will wet more and poop more than an older baby.

So with a newborn expect to change at least 12 diapers per day but you could be changing up to 14 diapers per day which is quite a bit.

As the baby gets older then they tend to go through only 5 to 8 diapers per day depending on their fluid intake and how much they pee.

After 1 year old the baby usually uses 5 to 6 diapers per day so as the baby gets older the less diapers you'll usually change.

After 2 years old the child usually holds in their urine and releases it all at once on a set schedule and when the child is 2 years and above you'll usually only need to change the diaper every 2 to 3 hours.

So make sure you check a newborns diaper every 1 hour but for a baby that is 1 year and above you can check the diaper every 2 to 3 hours.

Some parents spend between $50.00 to $100.00 per month on disposable diapers for their baby so budget between $100.00 per month for diapers just to make sure you have enough diapers.
