If your house has carbon monoxide leaking into the house then you'll usually show signs of carbon monoxide poisoning within a few hours to 8 hours after being exposed to it.

It all depends on your body and how much carbon monoxide is getting into your home.

It's a good idea to have a carbon monoxide detector installed and working in your home and when it goes off you should get outside to fresh air and call 911 to get help.

The signs of carbon monoxide poisoning are headache, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, weakness, confusion.

If you notice those symptoms in yourself or anyone else in your home you should get yourself and your family outside into fresh air and leave the door open to allow fresh air into the home.

Call 911 because carbon monoxide poisoning is an emergency and if you do get too much carbon monoxide poisoning it can be deadly.
