Tooth Abscesses are an infection that needs treated for it to go away because unlike some other infections a tooth abscess does not go away on it's own without medical treatment.

If a tooth abscess is left untreated the tooth abscess can spread to your jaw or other areas of your head or neck and cause severe health issues.

If you think or know you have a tooth abscess you need to see a dentist or go to the emergency room right away because you don't want the tooth abscess to spread.

You will be given antibiotics and the dentist or emergency room staff will make a small cut into the abscess, allowing the pus to drain out, and then wash the area with salt water.

If needed the dentist will pull the infected tooth out.

The dental or tooth abscess can last for a year or longer and get worse so you need to get medical treatment for the tooth abscess.

A tooth abscess also known as a periodontal abscess is a pocket of pus that forms in the gum tissue.

This tooth abscess appears as a shiny, smooth swelling that protrudes out of the gums and is sensitive to the touch.

The tooth or teeth around the abscess may also become sensitive or loosen.

A Tooth Abscess is a dental emergency and you should go to a dentist as soon as possible.

Tooth abscess is absolutely a dental emergency.

If you have a tooth abscess, you need to seek treatment immediately.

Left untreated, a tooth abscess can lead to infection that spreads through the body causing serious and even life-threatening effects.

The sooner these issues are treated the better!
