When you get a VA loan for a home the seller is allowed to pay the closing costs on the home if they want too and include it in the VA loan.

However the seller is not required to pay the closing costs on the VA loan if they do not want too.

When you get a VA loan to buy a home you as the Veteran are required to pay the closing costs if you want to buy the home.

You can either pay the closing costs for the VA loan out of your pocket or get seller or lender credits to cover the closing costs.

There's also no down payment required when getting a VA loan to buy a home so that's a good benefit of getting a VA loan instead of a traditional mortgage.

If you're unable to qualify for a regular mortgage then you can try applying for a VA home loan which you'll have a better chance at getting approved for.
