Most cases of chicken Pox go away within 7 to 12 days.

When you have chicken pox you are contagious with the chicken pox a couple days before the chicken pox rash appears and you will remain contagious with chicken pox until all of the blisters have scabbed.

A good way to help heal chicken pox and stop the itching from chicken pox is to use some Calamine lotion and take a cool bath with added baking soda, uncooked oatmeal, or colloidal oatmeal which can help relieve some of the itching.

If your kid has chicken pox the child should stay home from school until the chicken pox has cleared up and they are no longer contagious.

Chicken pox can be spread from person to person easily so it's best to keep the child home when they have chicken pox.

If you have chicken pox as an adult you should also stay home from work as well because you can spread chicken pox to adults as well.
