When you go to the doctor to get an allergy test done the allergy test should take at most 30 minutes to an hour to complete.

The allergist will either do a skin test or a blood test or they might take both a skin test and a blood test to get better results to see if you're allergic to something.

When the allergist takes a skin allergy test they will prick your skin with needles that will barely penetrate your skin and although you might think it would be painful it really isn't.

I had a skin allergy test done and they pricked my skin and I felt just a little mild pain that went away after they stopped pricking my skin.

There's also no bleeding involved and it takes only a minute or two to have the skin test done for the allergies.

Then after you have the allergy tests done it can take 2 to 7 days to get the results back depending on how busy the doctors and test results place is.
