The antihistamines that are most commonly available are not really bad for your kidneys at all.

Antihistamines themselves don't really cause any kidney problems or cause problems with a persons kidneys so even when you have kidney disease antihistamines are generally safe to take.

However some antihistamines can cause urine retention in some peoples bladders but they don't cause any other health issues.

Out of all the antihistamines the brands Claritin and Zyrtec are the safest antihistamines when it comes to people with kidney problems.

You can take the antihistamines as much as you need to without any other health issues and if you're worried about it you can speak to your doctor about it.
