Copper is a renewable resource that occurs naturally over many years and will eventually reproduce itself.

However the copper that we use today cannot be reproduced again for millions of years.

So in that case copper would not be a renewable resource at least in many of our lifetimes so that's why it's important to recycle copper as much as we can.

A lot of copper is used by many people in homes, electronics, cars etc and lots of that copper goes to landfills when it's in something that goes out and then people throw it out.

I've seen many electricians throw copper wire away in the trash and that is really wasteful because we need copper to wire our homes, make electronics etc.

Once that copper goes into the landfill we won't see it again for millions of years.

It's unlikely though that we will run out of copper anytime soon because a lot of it is still recycled today but it's still important to recycle the copper we already have.

You can make money selling scrap copper wire etc.

One bucket that is 5 gallons full of clean and stripped copper wire can bring $50.00 right now so you can get paid to recycle your copper.
