The most common cause of skin allergies in dogs is certain foods that the dog eats that contain proteins such as lamb, beef, chicken, and eggs.

Some dogs are just fine eating those foods and other dogs have a skin allergy and other allergic reaction to those certain foods.

Dogs can also be allergic to soy and gluten which can then lead to skin allergies as well.

Some common symptoms of dog skin allergies are hair loss, sores, red skin and intense itching.

The skin allergies mostly affect the dogs ears, legs and face but the skin allergies can also affect other parts of the dogs body.

When your dog has skin allergies then they will usually need to have some medicine given to them by the vet such as a vaccine.
