A girls or woman's first Pap Smear Test should be done at least 3 years after your first sexual activity.

Or if you turn 21 years old you should get your first Pap Smear at age 21 which is when I got my first Pap Smear done.

You can get a Pap Smear younger than 21 but the results may not be as accurate because the Pap Smear could pick up other things that could seem like cancer when in fact it's not.

So you should wait until at least 21 years of age to get your first Pap Smear for the most accurate test results.

Before your scheduled Pap Smear Test you should avoid any intercourse, douching, or use of any vaginal medicines or spermicidal foams, creams or jellies for two days before the Pap Smear is done.

If you don't avoid those things before the Pap Smear Test then the test results could turn out wrong.
