Does Bar's Head Gasket Sealer Really Work?

My car has a head gasket leak on the drivers side leaking coolant into the exhaust and getting into the oil and the exhaust is smoking.

If I buy some Bar's Head Gasket Sealer and pour it in the radiator will it actually work or would I be wasting my money.

If your head gasket leak is leaking around the coolant passages then yes the head gasket sealer will work to seal the coolant leak in the head gasket.

Bar's Head Gasket Sealer does work great even though it is not very cheap but it's well worth the money spent.

Just be sure to follow the directions on the bottle and don't pour it directly into the radiator with the coolant otherwise it will not work.

First you drain all the coolant out of the radiator and then while you're doing that you take a jug such as an empty coolant jug and fill it with the head gasket sealer and then add 3 quarts of warm water to the jug.

Next shake it up for a few minutes to mix the head gasket sealer with the water.

Then pour it into the radiator after you close the radiator drain valve and then start the engine and let it run through the engine.

Allow the engine to run for 5 minutes at idle and then add some more water to the radiator to fill it up and then put the radiator cap back on.

Then allow the engine to run for around 15 to 20 minutes and take the car around for a drive and then after around 10 minutes increase the engine RPM to bring the engine up to temperature.

Then shut the engine off, allow it to cool and check the water level in the radiator again and if it's low top it off and then go for a drive again for another 20 minutes or so.

Then let the engine sit for the night and leave the water and head gasket sealer in the radiator.

After you do that then drain the water out of the radiator and use a garden hose to flush the excess head gasket sealer and water out of the radiator and engine.

After doing that you can add more coolant to the engine and then it should not loose anymore coolant.

I've used Bar's Head Gasket Sealer on a few vehicles and it really does work to stop head gasket leaks as long as you follow the directions.
