When intermittent fasting you should intermittent fast for 14 to 16 hours in a day but do not do the intermittent fasting everyday as it could make you sick.

You do need to eat some food during the week to stay healthy so don't go overboard on the intermittent fasting but if you do it correctly you will lose weight when intermittent fasting.

Basically restrict your eating to within an 8 to 10 hour window where you are able to fit in 2 to 3 more meals in.

Yes doing Intermittent Fasting is effective to help cleanse your body and help with weight loss.

I did intermittent Fasting for a year and lost over 100 lbs of weight when I was overweight.

I also exercised daily as in using a treadmill on some days and taking a walk around town or going jogging for 15 to 20 minutes per day.

I also changed my diet and watched my calorie intake and the intermittent fasting along with the exercise, dieting etc all worked to help me loose the 100 lbs of weight I was looking to lose.

So you might not notice significant results right away when intermittent fasting but overtime the intermittent fasting will give you results on the weight loss.
