It's sometimes possible to push a mortgage payment back a month and pay the mortgage payment later without affecting your credit score and without the risk of foreclosure.

To be able to push a mortgage payment back you need the consent of the bank or lender of the mortgage so you can't just simply decide to not pay the mortgage payment that month and then catch up later.

Well you could do so but you risk lowering your credit score and risk your home going into foreclosure by doing it that way.

When you want to or need to push a mortgage payment back a month you need to call up the bank or the lender of the mortgage and ask them if you can push the mortgage payment back and they will usually allow you to do so as long as you've been current on all your mortgage payments and are not already behind.

Don't just push the mortgage payment back and not tell the bank or the lender because you could get foreclosed on for not making the mortgage payment and your credit score will be lowered.
