The Calphalon website says that the Calphalon can go in the dishwasher safely with no harm done to the Calphalon.
However it also says that Calphalon classic should not be put in the dishwasher due to problems with wearing away the non stick surface of the Calphalon classic cookware.
If the cookware is Calphalon classic cookware it says to hand wash it only because the dishwasher can damage it.
However if it's other types of Calphalon they say it's safe to put it in the dishwasher.
If you're worried you could just hand wash the Calphalon cookware.
I've put my Calphalon cookware in the dishwasher a lot and it never harmed the non stick surface but my Calphalon cookware is not the classic version of it.
