Unless the cracked tooth is causing you discomfort or making it hard for you to eat then the cracked tooth doesn't need to be pulled.

I had a cracked tooth and eventually after around 6 months the cracked tooth fell out on it's own and it wasn't causing any problems so I never went to see a dentist about it.

A dentist won't always pull a tooth unless it's really needed so if it's just cracked and not causing any other issues then the cracked tooth can stay safely in your mouth.

If the cracked tooth begins to cause pain or other discomfort or it makes it hard for you to eat then a dentist visit would be okay.

The dentist may then want to pull the cracked tooth out and if you want the cracked tooth pulled out then the dentist will do so after taking some X Rays.
