When a toddler has acidic poop the acidic poop in the toddler is usually caused by foods that the toddler eats.

Certain foods are acidic which can then lead to the toddler developing acidic poop which is normal and nothing to be worried about.

However the acidic poop can cause diaper rash if the toddler is still wearing diapers because the poop that is acidic can eat away at the toddlers skin when they poop their diaper and are not changed soon enough.

Some foods that are acidic that cause acidic poop in toddlers are Apricots, Pears, Apple Juice, Apples, Cow's Milk, Cherries, Cherry Juice, Pears, Pear Juice etc.

If the toddler is having acidic poop that is leading to diaper rash then you may need to cut back on the amount of acidic food and drinks that you give to your toddler.
