Coffee grounds do keep some rabbits away and I've had good luck using coffee grounds around my garden to keep rabbits out of the garden and it worked great.

Just be sure to add some more coffee grounds as often as you can to keep the smell of the coffee grounds fresh.

You can also keep rabbits away from your yard or garden by using and planting some plants such as allium, irises, anise hyssop, baptisia, bee palm, veronica, yarrow, daffodils, daylilies, lamb's ear, and sedum.

Rabbits tend to hate those plants and will avoid those areas where you have those types of plants planted.

So if you have a vegetable garden you could plant some of those plants around your vegetable garden and they will deter and repel the rabbits naturally from your garden.
