When growing tomatoes how often do I water them?

When planting and growing tomatoes how often do I water the tomato plants and how much water is enough?

How long should I leave the sprinkler on the tomato plants to get them enough water?

Tomato plants should be watered for at least 30 minutes to an hour each day. Just don't over water them though as over watering tomato plants can cause the tomatoes to split.
