Yes having kidney problems and kidney disease can cause a metallic taste in your mouth or can also cause other bad tastes in your mouth.

Some people with kidney disease and kidney problems may also decide they don't like the taste of meats anymore when they used too.

So if you're noticing a metallic taste in your mouth or other bad tastes in your mouth it could indicate some health issue especially if the metallic taste or other tastes doesn't go away after a week or so.

Other things can cause a metallic taste in the mouth as well such as Sinusitis and even some allergies.

Or even things such as ear or upper respiratory infections.

If the metallic taste in the mouth lasts longer than a week or never goes away then you should see a doctor to get tested for potential health issues.
