Driving on a long road trip really gets tiring and you should drive no longer than 10 hours in one day.
I've drove 12 hours one time when I was younger but now all I can go is 8 hours and then I have to pull over and find a hotel or motel to rest and then continue on my journey.
During the drive you should also pull over to rest and take a break every 1 to 2 hours and then rest for 15 to 20 minutes before going further.
If you begin to feel tired find a place to pull over and take a nap or find a hotel and rest for the rest of the day.
It's very easy to get driver fatigue and then get into a wreck which could prove fatal.
Make sure you get plenty of rest the night before you head out and never drive longer than 11 or 12 hours on a road trip.
It's not worth risking your life to try to get there sooner because you may not get there at all.
