Yes dialysis treatment can be done at home doing dialysis just like you would at a dialysis center and either yourself doing the dialysis treatment or a family member who gets trained in the dialysis machine and learns how to hook you up to the dialysis machine.
However you must really understand how to operate the dialysis machine and how to insert the needles for the dialysis treatment as well.
If you can't figure it out you will have to have a dialysis nurse come to your home and operate the dialysis machine for you.
You can usually get a home nurse for dialysis covered under health insurance and possibly Medicare as well.
The dialysis machine can be costly though so you would have to check with health insurance or medicare directly to find out if they cover the cost of the in home dialysis machine.
