Most children including my son learned to count up to 10 by age 3 years old and sometimes he still forgot sometimes and I would have to teach him again.

By age 4 and 5 the child should be able to easily count to 10 and beyond and the older they get the more they can count.

Each child is different and learns at different speeds and ages so don't worry too much if you child is 3 and doesn't count to 10 yet.

The child will eventually learn if you keep teaching them.

Although children at 3 years old usually don't yet actually understand, and can't identify, the quantities they're naming.

But the older they get and the more they learn then the more they'll be able to count.
