Most boils do eventually heal on their own and burst open after around 2 weeks.

If you have a boil you should not pop it on your own because it could lead to an infection so you should just let it heal and wait around 2 weeks and the boil should eventually pop open on it's own and drain.

The boil may be painful for a week or two weeks until it pops and it can be hard to not want to pop the boil on your own but you really need to wait and let the boil pop on it's own.

Usually boils are nothing serious and require no medical attention unless they do not go away within a couple of weeks to a month.

I once had a boil last a month before it went away so sometimes it can take a month but usually most boils are gone within 2 weeks.
