Bank fraud is considered to be a very serious crime and offense.

The penalty and punishment for bank fraud if the person is convicted of the bank fraud is around a $1,000,000.00 fine and from 15 to 30 years in prison.

The Laws and Regulations of the FDIC state that if someone were to obtain any of the moneys, funds, credits, assets, securities or other property owned by, or under the custody or control of, a financial institution, by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises the person who committed bank fraud shall be fined not more than $1,000,000.00 or imprisoned not more than 30 years, or both.

So if you get convicted of bank fraud you're gonna be having a lengthy stay in the prison system so that would not make bank fraud worth it.

30 years is a very long time in prison and I'm sure that 30 years would be feeling like 100 years in prison.
