In my experience in owning a few homes where one was brick and one was wood construction all around the brick home I live in now has been cheaper to insure with homeowners insurance.

When I had a wood home that was wood material and had Vinyl siding on it the house was more expensive to insure.

The wood home is more easily set on fire by sparks and other flames that get near it than a brick home does.

The brick around the home as siding protects the home from fire somewhat and also protects the home from more damaging winds.

So the brick sided home would be cheaper to insure with homeowners insurance than a vinyl sided all wood construction home.

The brick helps to protect the home from wind as well and I think brick homes also look nicer and they hold their value more than an all wood constructed home does.
