When USPS tracking says in transit to next facility it means that your package is either on an airplane or on a truck being delivered to the next USPS sorting facility or even being in transit to your local post office where it will be delivered.

Sometimes USPS tracking can say in transit to next facility for a few days if the package has a long journey to get from one sorting facility to the next sorting facility.

I've had packages stay stuck in the "In Transit To Next Facility" for a few days before and then it updated and said it was at my local post office.

Then that day it was out for delivery.

So sometimes your packages may not be scanned for a few days until your package arrives at another sorting facility or your local post office.
