In simple terms a naturally aspirated V8 engine or other naturally aspirated engine is basically an internal combustion engine in which oxygen intake for the engine depends solely on atmospheric pressure.

The naturally aspirated V8 engine or other naturally aspirated V8 engine does not rely on forced induction through a turbocharger or a supercharger to run.

If the engine uses a supercharger or turbocharger then it's not a naturally aspirated engine but if it's just a fuel injected or carburetor based engine that has no supercharger or turbocharger then it's a naturally aspirated engine.

Most vehicles on the road are naturally aspirated engines as long as they do not have an additional turbocharger or supercharger installed as a modification.

When using a turbocharger or supercharger on the engine it usually has more power than a naturally aspirated engine.

But turbocharged or supercharged engines require more work to maintain and keep them running properly.
