Oven cleaner will do no damage to a self cleaning oven as long as you do not turn the self cleaning option on the oven to the on position when you are using the oven cleaner.
You can apply the oven cleaner to the self cleaning oven when it's off and let it sit overnight and then wipe it out in the morning.
The self cleaning oven really doesn't actually clean itself completely or get much grease cleaned out of the oven but instead it bakes the food particles and food residue off so that it wipes out easily.
A good cleaning with oven cleaner is always a good idea as well anyway to get grease out of the oven.
The Easy Off oven cleaner should begin working on the food residue or grease in the oven within an hour or 2 hours after applying the Easy Off oven cleaner to the oven.
Before using the Easy Off oven cleaner in your oven be sure that the oven has been turned off and is cooled down and then spray the Easy Off oven cleaner into the oven and allow it to sit for at least 2 hours.
However it cleans the oven best when you let the Easy Off oven cleaner stay in the oven overnight as it really gets the oven clean overnight.
Then you just wipe the oven out with a wash cloth to clean the oven cleaner off the inside of the oven.
If you have just a little bit of grease or residue in the oven you can clean it up within 30 minutes.
