Heater hoses on a vehicle will last a pretty long time before they actually go bad and need replaced.
Most heater hoses on a vehicle will last between 50,000 to 100,000 miles and sometimes even longer.
But if it's been 5 or 10 years you should replace the heater hoses and radiator hoses to prevent a breakdown.
Because when the heater hoses or radiator hoses burst then you will lose your coolant which then leads to your vehicles engine overheating.
That then can lead to a damaged engine as well as leaving you stranded.
I replace my heater hoses and radiator hoses after 100,000 to 150,000 miles even if the heater hoses look good.
I do not want to wait until the heater hoses or radiator hoses fail because that would be a bad thing.
