Adding an inground pool to your home can increase the value of the home but only by about 7 percent so sometimes it can cost you the same amount or more than the amount that your homes value would increase when you install a pool.

Still adding an inground pool to your backyard can give you lots of entertainment and you'll always have a place to cool down in your own pool which can be valuable.

Still your property taxes and homeowners insurance costs will also increase as a result of the swimming pool being installed.

And it can cost from $20,000.00 to $65,000.00 and sometimes even more depending on the size of the inground swimming pool you have installed.

Plus the swimming pool takes up part of your backyard and during the winter it will need covered and drained and you'll need to keep it cleaned as well.

So while an inground swimming pool can be a nice addition to your yard it can also be a headache and not worth installing.

Some people who have swimming pools in their backyards in the ground have them filled in because of the safety issues, high property taxes, high homeowners insurance costs etc.
