Most children start having tantrums at around age 15 months and then continue to have those tantrums until 4 years of age.
Children between 15 months old and 4 years of age have a hard time grasping, understanding and dealing with the word no and disappointment.
They also have a hard time dealing with and hate dealing with being told what to do as well so say you told the child it's time for bed and then the child didn't want to go to bed then the child would have a tantrum and usually scream, kick, hit etc.
But you must not give into the child's tantrums and must follow through with what you told them to do.
Most children will outgrow tantrums after age 4 although some children may continue to throw tantrums even at 5 years old and even 7 to 8 years old.
I've seen children aged 5 and even 8 years old have tantrums in stores because they couldn't get what they wanted.
There's really no set age that a child will completely stop tantrums but most children do stop having tantrums around age 4 but like I said some may continue having tantrums until age 8 or even 9 which is rare.
