As a Walmart Employee you must show up for work on time and everyday unless you have a good excuse for not showing up for work or you face termination and loss of your job.
Every time you don't call in sick or don't show up you get 4 points and when you get to 5 points you usually face termination.
However sometimes you may be able to get 10 points and still keep your job if you can come up with a good excuse and show that being away from work was needed.
But most times when you get even 5 points to 10 points then you can lose your job and be terminated as a result.
So if you really need to miss work you should always call in ahead of time to let them know about it but if you can go to work then you should go ahead and go to work.
There have been days where I've continued to go to work even with some fatigue due to the cold or flu virus because I hadn't been working for Walmart for too long and didn't want to face termination.
Jobs are pretty hard to come by so if you have a job with Walmart or anywhere you should stick with them and keep the job.
