I want to quit my job eventually and blog for a living. But I'm wondering how long I will have to wait before earning a full time income through my blog?

If you run a blog and earn a living from your blog how long did it take you to reach enough income to quit your job and live off the income from your website?

It will take years of running a website before you might be able to quit your job to earn a living online from your website.

You should expect to stick with your website and work on it for 4 years or more before earning any good amount of money from it.

For some time you may work on your website for long hours without earning a dime. But patience is key in earning money online.

Earning money online from your website is a long term thing.

Most successful bloggers and website owners have been working on their websites and blogs for decades.

That's what those huge Adsense earners don't tell you on their blogs. They don't tell you it took them many years of hard work on their blogs to earn income.

Lisa Irby from 2createawebsite.com said she worked on her blog for 7 years before earning enough to quit her job.

And with all of googles search engine updates it can take longer to rank your website for keywords and show up in google search results.

If you need money overnight then don't expect to earn a living overnight from a new website.

Earning money from your website and Adsense require hard work, patience and a lot of website traffic.

The last one is really important. With no website traffic you won't earn anything.
