If you've been smoking for many years and then quitting smoking can help your heart repair itself overtime.

Smoking causes things such as lung cancer, heart disease, COPD, clogged arteries and much more and smokers have a lower lifespan usually than non smokers.

Still you can get heart disease, COPD, clogged arteries and even lung cancer even if you've never smoked but smoking cigarettes increases your chance of getting those conditions.

So never smoking in your life is one of the best things you can do for your health as well as quitting smoking even when you've smoked for years.

Your heart is a more forgiving organ than other organs in your body so your heart can begin to slowly heal itself after you quit smoking.

After you quit smoking for 1 hour In as little as 20 minutes after the last cigarette is smoked, the heart rate drops and returns to normal.

So your heart will be stronger and healthier after you quit smoking and you increase your chances of living a longer life and a much healthier life.

I used to smoke when I was 16 but quit when I was 18 when I noticed my dad was getting really sick after smoking cigarettes and didn't want those health problems so I quit smoking and never looked back.

My dad finally quit smoking as well after 40 years of smoking and he quit and never picked up another cigarette and he done so with only his willpower.
