Yes a fever can be a sign of heat exhaustion.

The fever that is accompanied with heat exhaustion is a temperature of 100 - 102° F which is usually mild and lasts for a short time.

Other signs of heat exhaustion besides the mild fever are weakness, fainting, dizziness, nausea, pale skin and profuse sweating.

If you think you or someone has heat exhaustion you need to seek medical attention right away because heat exhaustion can lead to heat stroke which can then lead to death.

So if in doubt get into a cool place and call for an ambulance if you think you're suffering from heat exhaustion or may be getting a heat stroke coming on.

It's better to have the ambulance check you out and treat you and not need them than it is to get into heat stroke and then need the ambulance or possibly die as a result.
