Most non inverter generators are not safe to use with electronics such as computers, TV's etc unless you buy and use an inverter with the non inverter generator.
It would also be a good idea to use a surge protector with the inverter and generator to protect your electronics from surges in voltage as well as the constant change in power when the engine possibly revs up and down especially as it's running out of gasoline.
If you already have or plan to buy an inverter generator which is a generator with an inverter already built into it then those are safe to use with electronics such as computers, TV's etc
I run my TV, Computer and other electronics off of a regular generator with a separate inverter I bought to use with the generator and electronics.
If you use the generator without an inverter then it could fry your electronics so always use an inverter with your current generator or buy and use an inverter generator to protect your electronics from damage.
