A newborn baby only needs to have their hair washed once or twice per week which is usually more than enough.

Washing your newborn babies hair too often could cause the newborns hair to dry out and cause the scalp to dry out as well removing the natural oils that keep the babies hair moisturized.

If your baby has cradle cap then you might want to wash the babies hair 3 to 4 times per week using a cradle cap shampoo.

But if the baby doesn't have any cradle cap then once or twice per week is good enough to wash your newborn babies hair.

I washed my newborn babies hair once per week which was more than enough unless he got dirty more often.

I bathed my newborn son everyday to keep him clean because of the dirty diapers.

I wanted to make sure I removed any urine from his body even though most disposable diapers today absorb the urine really good and keep it away from the babies skin.

I still wanted to keep my newborn baby as clean as possible.
