Yes Listerine mouth wash is a very effective mouth wash to kill the bacteria that causes periodontal disease.

Listerine mouth wash also kills many other types of bacteria that lead to tooth decay and other gum problems as well.

I use mouthwash twice daily to help kill bacteria in my mouth and to help prevent the onset of periodontal disease which is what my dentist recommended to me.

Besides that Listerine works very well at reducing sticky plaque film and early gum disease which is known as gingivitis.

I also recommend using coconut oil to do oil pulling with and pull the coconut oil through your teeth which also removes bacteria that leads to periodontal disease.

Make sure you brush your teeth often as well as in after every meal and floss your teeth as well to keep your teeth healthy.
