When you call a suicide hotline there's no way of the suicide hotline operator to know your exact location and they do not have the tracking abilities like the 911 dispatchers do.
So it would not do any good for the suicide hotline operators to call the police on you and what mostly happens when you call a suicide hotline is they talk to you about your problems and try to help make your life better through talking.
There's not much they can do but talking to them can help tremendously.
I've called the suicide hotline 10 years ago because I was feeling suicidal and no they did not contact the police nor did they have a way too.
After talking to the suicide hotline operator for awhile I was feeling much better and stopped thinking about suicide and I'm glad I didn't commit suicide because things are going much better for me now 10 years later.
