When a person has throat cancer it's never a good thing and is serious enough that the throat cancer if left untreated can kill you.
If you do get diagnosed with throat cancer and get treatment for the throat cancer then you can usually live a very long life and it doesn't always mean you'll die from throat cancer if it's caught soon enough and treated soon enough.
However if you do not get the throat cancer diagnosed or treated soon enough then it cannot be cured and will result in death soon after.
Throat cancer is sometimes caused by a virus known as the Human papillomavirus or even smoking or other chemicals in the air that we breathe.
The throat cancer that a person has will result in swelling or A lump in the throat known as a tumor.
That tumor will be in your throat and you can usually feel the tumor and may have a hard time swallowing food.
