If you owe enough money to the debt collector that they want to pursue you for the outstanding and massive debt that is worth their time taking you to court then yes the debt collector can take you to court and sue you.

Then the judge can allow the debt collector to seize and take your property and house away from you to pay back the debt.

The judge can also order you to sell your house or any other property you have to settle the debt with the debt collector.

So if you owe a huge amount of debt that is $10,000.00 or more then you can usually expect to go to court and be sued by the company you owe the debt too or be sued by the debt collector.

Owing a little bit of debt under a few thousand dollars is usually not as big of a deal as owing someone or a company $10,000.00 or more.

So yes you can lose your house or other property for unpaid debt.
