Different size dogs drink different amounts of water per 24 hours to stay hydrated.
On average though 8.5 to 17 ounces of water per day is what the average dog drinks per 24 hours per 10 lbs of weight.
So the more the dog weighs the more the water they'll drink and of course if the dog is more thirsty as in if it's really hot out then the dog may increase it's water intake.
But larger dogs may drink 20 to 40 ounces of water per 24 hours or per day while smaller dogs may only drink 8 or 17 ounces of water per day at most.
I would just keep the dog supplied with plenty of water and let the dog drink the water when they get thirsty which they will do.
