When you cancel your insurance policy the canceled insurance policy stays on your insurance record for 5 years before it drops off and is removed from the insurance record.

However if you do cancel insurance too often then it can cause problems with you getting approved for insurance from some insurance companies.

That is if you cancel three insurance policies in 1 years time then it can be hard for you to get insurance coverage so only cancel insurance when you really need too.

But all canceled insurance goes off your record within 5 years time and then it no longer affects your ability to get insurance coverage after the 5 years have passed.
