For a turbocharged engine on a vehicle to run properly the turbocharged engine does require the use of premium fuel.
However you can still drive the car with the turbocharged engine with regular fuel the engine will perform better with the use of premium fuel.
Although turbocharged engines can use regular non premium fuel the use of premium fuel is recommended when you have a turbocharged engine.
When you use non premium fuel in your turbocharged engine it can result in poor acceleration or cause the engine to take longer to get up to speed.
So if you want the best results from the turbocharged engine you really should be using premium high octane fuels for the turbocharged engine.
