Yes sometimes a person might swallow a pill wrong and then the pill gets stuck in their throat without going further on down to their stomach.
If the pill does get stuck in your throat you should drink some more water if the person is not chocking and is still breathing.
Usually drinking some more water will help push the stuck pill on down or allow the pill to dissolve more and faster.
Eating a small piece of food can also sometimes dislodge the pill if it's stuck in your throat but of course if you or the person is choking then you need to dislodge the pill from the persons throat to prevent choking.
