Depending on how complex the road is and how much work is involved in getting the road built it can take from 6 months to a year to build just 1 miles of road.

Sometimes it can take 3 years to build a 10 mile stretch of road depending on how complex the road is.

Such as if they need to blast through mountains, clear trees, etc then that can take more time to build the road.

The cost to build 1 mile of road can be from $1 million to $3 million dollars depending on the size of the road.

It's very complex to build roads and takes a lot of time so a road won't be built in a short amount of time and also before they build the road they must also do surveys and lay out maps etc to show where the road is gonna go.

That's where a lot of our tax dollars and vehicle registration costs go is to help build and maintain the roads we drive on.

Without the roads we would not be able to go anywhere in our vehicles.
