How many hours a day should I drive on a road trip?

I used to drive 10 hours on a road trip before when my kids were younger and in diapers because I could stop less often because my wife and I were the only ones needing to use the restroom because my children were still in diapers and didn't need a restroom break.

But now that my kids are potty trained and out of diapers we need to stop more often for the kids and ours restroom breaks.

So I stop every 1 hour to every 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on how often the kids need to pee or poop so that cuts down on our driving time.

So now I drive at most 8 hours in one day and then pull off to a hotel or motel and stay the rest of the night and then continue the journey or road trip the next day.

I wouldn't push yourself on driving too far on a road trip especially if you do not have to be there in a hurry as you'll feel much better and enjoy the journey much more.

It depends on your singularities. Someone can ride the whole day, and some get tired after a few hours. Personally, I like to travel by car. Usually, when I arrive in a new country, I take a car for rent and travel this country on a rented car. My last trip was to Ukraine.
