If yo happen to get infected with Salmonella the Salmonella disease infects your intestinal tract and sometimes doesn't cause any other problems.
Salmonella usually goes away on it's own without medical treatment but it can be a good idea to see a doctor or go to urgent care just to be safe.
Some people may also experience symptoms of Salmonella poisoning such as diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps within eight to 72 hours of being infected with the Salmonella.
People can become infected most frequently through contaminated water or food such as through Salmonella infected eggs.
However only 1 in 20,000 eggs are likely to be infected with Salmonella and cooking the eggs all the way through should kill off the Salmonella.
