Car Insurance is required in most states around the USA and if pulled over and caught without car insurance on your vehicle you will either get a ticket or have your vehicle towed and impounded and have to pay a bunch of fees to get your car out of impound.

The fees will cost more than the auto insurance would have costs.

Also if you get into a car accident and you're at fault without auto insurance the other driver could sue you in court which can cause you even more money.

Driving without auto insurance is a bad idea and can get you fines, towing of the vehicle and possibly be sued if you're in a wreck.

Also if you have a car that is being financed through an auto finance company and you do not keep full coverage insurance on that car then the finance company will eventually find out and will have your car repossessed.

The finance company should send you a warning letter about the auto insurance being needed on the vehicle and if you don't get the auto insurance on the car in that time then they can repossess the car.

But there is one state I know of that doesn't require drivers to have auto insurance on their vehicles and that is the state of New Hampshire.

New Hampshire doesn't require drivers to have or carry auto insurance on the vehicle.

But the state of New Hampshire does require drivers to cover costs of bodily injury and property damage for an accident they cause.
